Where our organic
almonds are born
WEST OF CATALONIA:
A land of agriculture and tradition

Our project is rooted in the Ponent area, a region of Catalonia that includes counties such as Segrià, Noguera, Urgell, Pla d'Urgell, Garrigues, Segarra, and Ribera d'Ebre. This territory stands out for its rich agricultural tradition, with dryland crops such as almonds, olives and vines, and irrigated crops such as apples, pears, peaches and cereals. The water from the historic canals, such as the Canal d'Urgell or the Canal de Segarra-Garrigues, has transformed these lands, increasing the production of sweet fruit and other crops in the Plan de Lleida.
With a continental Mediterranean climate marked by hot summers and cold winters, water management is key to cultivation. In addition, this area houses important natural spaces, such as the Estany d'Ivars i Vila-sana and the Aiguabarreig Segre-Cinca-Ebre, which promote agricultural biodiversity and the conservation of local fauna and flora.
At Nutstrum , we work in four distinct areas of this territory, each with its own landscape, type of terrain, climate, biodiversity, and access to water, a fact that conditions the cultivation of our local organic almonds.
