Our project: Nutstrum
Organic nuts and sustainable agriculture

Agricultural project that prioritizes the quality of dried fruit through the protection of the territory.
The Nutstrum cooperative was born from the collaboration of a group of agricultural professionals committed to the preservation of our land and the trade, with the aim of guaranteeing a future for local agriculture. We have decided to join forces to offer organic nuts, with a special emphasis on organic almonds.
In a context where conditions in the agricultural sector are becoming more and more complicated, our link represents a determined action to ensure the continuity of our activity and protect the agricultural legacy we value so much.

We want to continue growing nuts sustainably,
protecting the territory, regenerating the land and offering agricultural products directly to the final consumer.
We believe in regenerative agriculture, which goes beyond sustainability to revitalize the soil and promote biodiversity. Through this approach, we not only improve the health of our environment, but offer superior quality products and contribute to a fairer and more sustainable food system.

At Nutstrum, we want to offer much more than quality nuts.
Every almond we grow is the result of a deep commitment to the land and the community that inhabits it. We want our project to be an example of how cooperation and respect for nature can transform our environment, offering a more sustainable future for all.

Honey bees and honey bees: Natural pollination for sustainable agriculture
With our commitment to sustainability and landscape protection, we have integrated osmia, solitary bees and efficient pollinators, into our fields. Not only are these bees particularly beneficial to almond crops, they can also pollinate effectively even in adverse weather conditions.
Osmia contribute to improving the quality and quantity of almond production, while promoting biodiversity and ensuring the overall health of our natural environment. They are sensitive to toxic pesticides, which ensures a more natural and ecological pollination process, without the need to resort to more invasive or artificial alternatives.
With this approach, our agriculture not only seeks to be productive, but also works in harmony with nature, promoting a sustainable agricultural system that respects and protects the environment.

Nest boxes for birds of prey
In some of our farms we install nest boxes for birds of prey, a type of local fauna that is increasingly endangered. Due to habitat degradation, these birds have difficulty finding places to nest. Nest boxes provide protection and a safe environment within the farm, helping these declining birds.
Birds of prey are essential for the balance of ecosystems and beneficial for agriculture and the environment. They contribute to the natural control of populations of moles, rabbits and rodents, which can cause significant damage to trees and crops when they are in excess.
In addition, this project serves to raise awareness about biodiversity, the conservation of native species and respectful agricultural practices.
